my reply- Maybe
a little too red-blooded
but I don't see
why they think I
could be so stupid.
I shall pass out
if you don't approve-
I have been so
deep in sending over
seas packages &
housework and
yard work that
is why you have

me- I hope you

    Mr- Cesar Rodriguez Exposito.

    Dear Mr- Exposito-

    Thank you so very
much for the kind
invitation to come to Havana.
Cuba was a spot dear
to my beloved father's
heart- He held Dr. Carlos Finlay
in high esteem as he did
all of his yellow Fever
commission- Walter Reed
did not live to know
the wonderful tributes
paid him - as did my
dear mother - my Brother &
myself for his discovery
of yellow Fever. We have
been proud indeed through

Ac

the fifty years since
his passing - and we
too have been humble
as he taught us to be-
He wanted in his
sweet- gentle and
generous nature to
share his work
with all those around
him- I know he
would be pleased
about Dr- Finlay, and
his yellow Fever Colleagues.
I am honored at your
kind invitation. It is the
distance that keeps me
away- With re-newed
thanks, and my very
best wishes to Dr. Alberto Recio -
and your self-

    Sincerely-
Blossom Reed
